Candles to Flames MAG
You think candles are
beautiful, peaceful, serene, soothing, calming
You think fire is
uncontrollable, devastating, catastrophic, disastrous
But darling, when my candle grows to a fire,
when my flames lick farther and higher,
when the torch drops to the ground
and engulfs you in the sound
of the crackling of my flames
licking farther and higher,
trap you as a pawn in my games,
and I begin to conduct the songs of my choir,
You will long, you will yearn,
for the beautiful, peaceful, serene, soothing, calming
lullaby of my candle,
the one easiest to handle,
the one harmless to the touch,
the flame that will never grow into much.
