I Know Of A Girl
I know of a girl who acts like she's strong
She's been fighting a losing battle for far too long
She has never felt like she belongs
And she's constantly fed the lie that her lifestyle is wrong
I know of a girl who wears a smile on her face
Even though she's fallen far from grace
The scars on her body leave a permanent trace
Of the pain she has endured in this messed up place
I know of a girl who goes unnoticed when her heads in her hands
Her thoughts and her feelings you wont understand
Her previous choices have ruined her future plans
Some of her decisions have left her alone while she stands
I know of a girl who is always misconstrued
She no longer trusts cause she always gets used
Sometimes she can't help but feel so lost and confused
Each day of her life is like a family feud
I know of a girl who wants to be free
She can't handle this life and wants to leave
She's so self loathing she can hardly breathe
Wanna know something? This girl is me.
