I am the girl
I am the girl who made her laugh.
I am the girl who made her cry
between the hard times and fun times.
We were inseparable my best friend and I.
I am the girl that rubbed her back.
I am the girl whose hands hurt
the long nights of fun and laughter
when I shouldn't have drank that Mt. Dew.
I am the girl who ought to be studying
or doing her homework, but I am the girl that
does not sleep. Up all night, working all day,
but there is always time to go out and play.
I am the girl that baits her hook.
I am the girl who brings her coffee
to keep her going in the mornings,
to pick her up when she falls
I am the girl that is here for her day or night.
I am the girl that is a shoulder for her to cry on,
But she is the girl that I couldn't live without.
She keeps me going, she gives me hope.
I mean nothing without her in my life.
