Weird Dream
I have the weirdest dreams.
I wake up and vaguely remember,
then groggily turn over
and forget.
Later in the day,
my forgetfulness fades, and bits and pieces
of it comes back to me.
Flashes of color,
bits of light,
noises and faces,
feelings and sights.
I sit
and try immensely hard
to remember
something that never really happened.
Last night I dreamt
I was a writer
living in a small apartment
in New York City.
