The Worst Neighbor
You know Nostalgia?
You got to
He comes round every so often
Usually when I’m settled down
In a moment when I’m alone
He came that one time
I’d left the book on the table
Was about to pick it up and put it back on the shelf
You know, where it used to be
I didn’t look when I heard him
But he came in No matter
Blew the dust off the cover
Gripped my heart so hard it was torn
And washed his hands with my tears
He left after a while
Always does
Just wish he’d move away for good
Like the rest
