The Sea
The Sea.
By: Madeline Zerr
I love her more than you would ever know.
I know her better than anyone else.
She's always been there for me through my life of turmoil.
I was thrown out to die and she stayed by my side at all times.
When I needed her most she let me land softly in her open arms.
She carried me to safety right before a storm.
Even today she carries me where I need to go,
Never failing to get me to the right place.
She's a rare beauty, one only described in books, songs, and poems.
And, as long as I respect her she respects me.
She's loving and caring, yet, at any moment she could kill me with a swift hand.
I will never leave her side it would hurt too much.
She's everywhere I go.
For 13 years we were apart.
But when I returned she loved me all the same.
And don't ever try to separate us again.
She will get mad and show you her wrath,
As I sit back and laugh!
