Someone Like Me
I don’t know
Where to go how to move on from here
I don't see
A silver lining where you said it would be
I am the worthless rock in a pile of gemstones
I need
Somebody here somebody like me
Someone to
Take my hand be a friend and lead me home
Can't you see
There really is no difference between you and me
We all want
A friend to fit in some kind of family
Invisible that’s me
I blend in to the background perfectly
I know
Things you don't about the world and even about yourselves
You all are so easy to read
Like a book you all open up so carelessly
But if I can read you all with such ease
Then why is it so hard to find
Somebody like me
I am
The worthless rock in a pile of gemstones
I need
Someone to reach out and teach me to shine
To show me the silver lining
To show me the road I must go to make myself a new home
I want
To find somebody
A little like me
I wish
I could snap my fingers and let a second me exist
I know
I could shine brighter than all the stars
In the sky
I just need
A little push somebody to
Help me find my way and
Show me the other side
Of this place
