I know i had a friend,
His name was Corey
He was twelve years old
and his life told a story
It hadn't been that long since he passed
but just think about the good times that was shared and had
even though he was abused
he was a lost soul that was confused
tears might roll down your face every time you think of him
he's in a better place
even though he made a sin
now that i think about it, I'm bringing' it back
I'm doing this for Corey so you know it ain't wack
so bow your head in prayer and stare at the moon
we might just move on
but he was still gone too soon.

The author's comments:
My poem came from the heart. I was speaking my mind. I lost on of my classmate in 2011. I wrote this shortly after his death.
I thought this told a little about him and how i felt towards his death.

I'm sorry you lost your friend. Now we have something in common, i would've preferred something less death-related. But thanks for your feedback

me likey ....i think is a pretty good poem,i know how it feel to lose a friend i lost my friend jacob too he killed himself, after his death i was devastaded,i like this i dont usually cry cuz i hate cryiong but this poem reminded me of my Jacob :)

I really loved the ending, though the beginning didn't start out too strong. 

I love how you truly wrote it from the heart, I think it really conveys your emotion and memory well. 

It's so sad that things like that happen, happen so often nowadays. 

Thanks for writing this, it's very good, and with a little revision and editing, I think it could be even better!
