Sleepless nights on a winter's eve,
poisonous thoughts won't seem to leave.
They creep into my tired veins
and crawl right past the rusting chains,
exposing my mind to forbidden desires,
inflaming my heart in the blackest of fires.
They scorch and they burn, but I am unfit to fight
my merciless demons at this time of night.
How they feed the flames with fear and doubt.
Please somebody put the fire out...
