The Rain
There's a certain rhythm to the rain
All of my thoughts, fading away
Rivulets streaking through the pain
Coagulating into puddles where I lay
My memories are drowning
Down, down, across the floor
Still it won't stop raining
I'm forgetting what I've fallen for
I can't remember now
If this rain is the sky's tears or mine
I don't know how
These dreams are washed away in time
And until the grey clouds clear
I will be waiting here
