Relaxing in the Night

the sun has departed,
and the moon has come,
all the stars are up ahead,
I feel the cooling breeze of autumn,
the night is slowly darkening,
my surroundings are still,
the sound of my breathing,
the winds creeping up the hill,
relaxing in the night,
clouds have cleared from the sky,
while stars come out to shine,
I feel so up high,
I wish that all of this could be mine,
the time has gone by so fast,
you're right, this didn't last.
