Realizations
Realizations are complicated:
We may know something,
In our heads,
All along.
But our hearts won’t admit it,
Until the words are said,
Aloud.
When words are spoken,
Things become real.
Thoughts and whispered hopes,
Become things in reality.
The untrue becomes true,
The impossible becomes possible.
Turns out,
What you hoped wouldn’t be,
Or would be,
Always was.
The words had whispered to you,
In the conscience of your mind,
Although your heart wouldn’t
Accept it.
Once words are declared,
And have been heard,
We just have to take it.
Take what has come,
Adapt with what will come,
And prepare for what might come.
