Had Me At Hello
They ask me how we met
I recall, walking into the room
And I became a ship
Confronted by two Caribbean seas
As I got weak at the knees
The ship that was me had quickly sunk
He was the drink, and I the drunk
Oh what gift this god bestow
When he spoke, he had me at hello
They ask me what she did
I simply say she stole my heart
She walked in and met my eyes
With her two small disks of night
Who knew night could shine so bright
I had to say something, had no choice
But I could barely call forth my voice
Something told me, “ Say Hi! GO!!”
She replied and had me at hello
