Someone With a Moral Dilemma
To go or not to go.
The blue water drips
from pointed rocks
in the s t o n e ice cave
The rocks and stone icicles bend
in funny shapes
about her.
Her reflection- is that her- so convoluted
twisted contorted messed up
messed up
She is too messed up
For the world of faces, their color leaking, draining
They look like they're being sucked away, in th mirror
ice cave, sick of her image, of seeing
her body, herself in the ice.
So messed up.
She need not be. And does not find sin in eradicating ugliness
uselessness
a beat starts
driving, from a leather drum
her blood tenses;
builds
She moves faster
Lungs tighten in their [space]
She cannot breathe
But- wait! That is good.
She's heard of committing suicide as a sin.
No its not
she's eradicating sin, taking away the disgust
that is
Herself
And yet
no effort is required
Subtle frost permeates her breathing
cementing itself in the crevices of her lungs
her throat closes off
She shuts her eyes
smiles
Finally.
She no longer has to see
the reflection
that won't leave her alone
She can finally escape
And is detached from herself
She can feel her soul peelingaway
from her body
Cold, lead blood curdles in her throat
her eyes widen
She sputters out blood
and collapses on the ice cave floor.
Freedom.
