Running and leaping into bed
headed to the land where anything
is possible.
Dreams of underwater people
animals that can talk
and the frog that turned into a
prince.
First you'd tuck me in
tell me you love me and
make sure i was safe and happy.
You'd watch as my big eyes would
get heavy,
never leaving my side
me fighting to keep them open,
slowly they would close.
I was off the the land of dreams.

The author's comments:
I wrote this around my 16th birthday when i was thinking about how much I missed the little things in life that my parents used to do for me and how that all changed when you "grow up".
