The Famous Question- “What do you want to be?”
Once
I wanted to be a cop-
because they have cool cars.
And once,
I wanted to be a tour manager
because that is what my sister wanted to be
One time
I wanted to be a dentist
although I didn’t know why.
A long time ago – or so it seems-
I wanted to be a forensic psychologist
because I thought serial killers where interesting,
And at one point in time
I wanted to be a writer
because I love books, because I love writing.
I wanted to be an accountant
because that seemed absolutely practical.
Now?
I don’t know what I want to be-
A teacher,
An economist,
A writer.
And even though I know it matters, I really can’t answer
The Famous Question.
