darkish light
i’m lost on purpose
I know my way home but
i’m going the rightwrong way
over train tracks rust
and through careless litter
I’ve never been down
This street
Before
the lady
stands in the gleam of
a lone street lamp
in the
graphite grey
darkness
her back
is turned to me
and
a hood is pulled over her head and
I cannot see
Her face
it starts raining a little
I’m wet so I get unlost and
go home
today
i won’t open the
door
at the end of the hall
there are shoes stacked
neatly
in front of the
door
I wont open that door
because I know what will be
Behind It
