shadow of sorrow lingers the air…

She will not see this sun set
see the moon, as full as a tortilla, sneak
up lazily into the black night sky, speckled with
mysteriously white fairy dust…

something… someone…
Someplace?

Taken away inch by inch, foot by foot, yard
by yard… into the coiled street
until the arched green-apple trees Conceal

bright, bright day when
The sun sows it grains of honey-colored
light evenly upon the fresh morning earth.
