Fears, Old and New
What happened to the times when things were so easy,
So simple, and the only things you were afraid of
Were the monsters in your room, the creatures under the bed,
And losing your mom in the store?
Those times were so nice and so far away.
Now there are no monsters in your room, or creatures under the bed,
And you’re not worried about losing your mom in the store.
But now there are other things.
There’s your future, falling in love and getting your heart broken.
There’s the fear of people leaving you and people dying.
Things are no longer easy and you wish you
Were back in the good old days with stuffed animals and night lights.
But these things are so far away.
