Face to face we stand and stare
Boy: I would choose you but
Girl: I step towards you but you
you don’t care
you stay there
I know that I deserve more than this but cringe at the thought of our kiss
I look at the vase, as broken as us and think of my mom who taught me how to trust
You flash a smirk and walk away; I sit down slowly holding my head in disarray
Why does it get to the point of no return before I realize you’re not the one I earn
If this is our love: the fights, the regrets, maybe it’s time for us to forget
