Washed Away
Today, is a chilly rainy day here in Magee.
My thoughts wounder,
while the raindrops splash on the window cills and the wind blows.
I wounder how people can see through some peoples eyes like they are open doors.
But most of all I wounder,
"why do I feel so calm and vulnerable today?"
It could be the blanket of clouds that has set up the scenery outside today.
maybe its the sound of the drip, drip, drip that falls from a hole in the ceiling from all the rain.
I've always known it to soothe and calm me,
even whenever when really inside I'm hurt and want to cry;
whenever really I want to disappear.
But today it's the feel of the weather brewing outside that has me calm.
It only gives me a feeling of hope that maybe all the pain and tears will be washed away on this chilly rainy November day.
Who knows,
maybe today not just my heartbreak, pain, tears, and confusion will be washed away only by that hope,
but everyone else's too.
Maybe today we can start out new and get to feel the warmth that replaces that dreadful cold.
Today, maybe it will put a smile on our faces and a twinkle of new peace in our eyes.
Just maybe today a new journey will begin for us and take us to a place,
where dark things can never touch but the light of a savior,
who loves us for who we are no matter what we've done,
that's the place where I believe and hope that you all will too.
