The Water
I drown and you watch.
Sinking, Fighting,
Emancipated by the quiet
Rush of water over my head
As you pass from view
I want you to jump in
To save me
But you answered my thoughts
When you stood there
Silent noise of abyss
Then I'm gone
No one notices
Pale lips cold face
Dragged from eternal struggle
Of being oneself
The pain is gone, weakness does not remain.
You walk away
But I'm still fighting
Screaming in space
Filling the lungs with thoughts
I was drowning and you watched.
