We all perch on
the line, given to
us by man.
We did not ask
for this treatment.
Special as it is.
We are odd numbered.
Odd looking.
Feathers ruffled
and out of place.
We wonder if this
is how man feels.
Luxuriously treated
down there.
The electricity moves,
flying same as we do.
Except, not in the sky
as we do.
Electric currents pass
through our feet.
Static charge.
We are all different,
white, in a sea
of black.
Discriminated.
Fly away from
their perch on
the electric line.
Free.
