The Soft Words of Hello
Little hazel eyes stare beyond my imperfect life.
She trembles with fear, of how close she can get.
Nervous soft pink lips slowly start to say, "Will you please braid my hair?"
Her olive perfect skin, glows from the door way.
As she turns to leave my sight because she doesn't know how to react, she stops one more time to hear my answer..
As she fades out of my life, I grasp her little warm gentle hand and I start to braid her long blonde hair.
