The snow used to be beautiful
When I was wrapped in the warmth of safety, acceptance, and love
Surrounded by family, laughter, and love
The snow used to be beautiful
Looking out the window at the clean white table cloth covering our life
So pure. So innocent. So amazing.
The snow used to be beautiful
When the first snow made you stop in your tracks
Appreciate the twinkling stars falling down
Light and airy
Art taking place
The snow used to be beautiful
but now it took over the warmth drawing it out of your body
Your bones are shivering, shaking your body
Your tears drawing down your face
Burning cold
The snow used to be beautiful
But now you can see the blood stains of the tracks left from this mad world
Just as fast as the seasons change so did life
Will the snow ever be the same, like it used to be?
When the snow was beautiful
