A Mothers Unforgotten Past
The little blue eyes that held my mistakes,
Never looked at me without those tears again.
She walked out on life alone, without my hand.
I've taken innocence from her life, & took that pure
heart and gave her mine. I took those vibrant colors,
and replaced them with black and white.
I gave her one option in life, and I took the other for
my own selfish reasons.
That little girl, now almost a women, has changed
my life that I take now so serious.
I've change my ways to see that smile that
I have not seen in so many years.
She moves day by day with so much potential
that I never had.
I long to see the day that my baby girl forgives
my painful past.
