Death Is Merely The Gate
Your skin, like a sheet of wrinkled silk,
Clung as pale as the moon to your bones,
Protruding out like hidden branches in the night
As your weak organs, like aged birds,
Were attacked by a vicious beast, slinking throughout your body,
Love surrounded you as your icy breath seeped out,
Like translucent clouds on a cold night,
And now you’re sitting with him,
Your body ravaged by death, on the ground.
