Silence it kills me
Words they choke me
Thoughts they drown me
Ideas they abandon me
Comfort it avoids me
Pain it welcomes me
Like an old friend it pulls me in and doesn’t let go
Giving agony and sorrow
To break free I’d need more strength
Than I could ever bring
Break the hold pain has gained on my heart
Break me free and never let go
