You clasp my strings with your gloved hands and glide me into motion
I twirl and sweep through the air as you tug gently here and there
My painted smile feels real and my adoring eyes truly are adoring
You made my wooden heart beat again
But then the lights turn off and my painted smile is just that
Your hands are bear and rough
Your gloves lay desolate in the darkness

My adoring eyes watch you lock me away
As the darkness envelopes my wooden heart
But that is the way things are;
My painted smile which you have painted,
Will always be smiling.

Because I am just a puppet.
And you can make me glide as far as you’ll let the strings go

The author's comments:
Life is a puppet and you hold the strings!
Your puppet will always be there no matter how you treat it so be in control and let it glide to reach your wildest dreams!

Hey, I really liked that! Interesting idea for a poem! Good job!
