Guilt from the Past
Sissy
The baby in my dream whispers to me The toddle with peach fuzz hair and bright blue eyes
She's running to me
But I never get any closer to her
I struggle against iron grips
Trying to break free
But I can't get to her
Can't reach her in time to save her
I just want to be near her
But I am kept away
My hands are too small to make a difference
Sissy
The child in my dreams yells to me
The girl with blond hair and my face
I'm running to her
But she keeps getting farther away
I can barely see her now
It's been too long and I don't know her
Someone holds my hand and pulls me away from her
I want to let go of the tight grasp but I can't
Sissy! The voice in my mind screams
I'm sorry! I say, I'm sorry!
I'll come for you, I promise, I'll come for you
I love you, Cassi, I love you
