Tap, Tap
Rain taps at the window quietly,
gently falling in the darkest day.
The house is quiet, there's no one here.
I sit close to the cold window, listening to the calming tapping of the rain.
As I stare the street is flowing with mud filled water like a lake.
My tears are similar to rain, but no one can see.
For I am the only one in my cold house that hides behind a fake smile.
