A Lack of Empathy

Tears build up in my soul.
My eyes,
a dam.
Not one made by beavers,
made by you.
Words build up in my throat.
Censorship.
A dummy,
You control what I say
Mr. Ventriloquist.
Thoughts echo loudly,
still there is silence.
Your footsteps are worse than those of Frankenstein.
My heart wants to run,
but fear keeps me frozen.
