Wake Fom Your Fantasy
Fathers have this responsibility
This promise they make when they have daughters
That they will protect them
And defend them
And love them
With everything they have
To make every sacrifice possible to be loyal to them
Now me I haven’t had any good examples of men
No great father figures in my life
So maybe I am jaded
But it seems to me that so many fathers forsake this idea
Someone once said the worst thing you can do to your children is not love them
And I think there is a lot of truth in those words
Because without those two people to encourage them
Their children lose faith in their parents
Lose trust
And eventually lose the love they have for them
So how can you go on living knowing exactly how much you hurt your daughter?
Or are you so far gone that you don’t even see what you’re doing to her?
I hope one day you will wake up
And understand how much she needs you
