The world had ashamed me and tossed me aside, so I walked to a corner and let tears fill my eyes. Then you came along and you lent me your hand. You whispered so softly and said, “I understand.” That moment you lifted me right off my feet and you carried me all the way down the whole street. You brought me in a cooked me a meal. You said that your love would help my wounds heal. Now when the world hurts me and fills me with pain, I know you are there to bring me out of the rain.
