The Idea
December 13, 2011
It was just an ordinary day,
But I remember it
As if it were yesterday.
So crystal clear in my mind
You made an impact on my life,
Even if I wished otherwise.
I wanted to push you away,
But instead I was forced to stay.
I knew it was a bad idea,
But I did it anyways.
As the evening drew on,
I realized I was growing fond of you.
My brain told me to leave,
But I listened to my heart
And stayed right next to you.
It may have been a bad idea
But I’ll admit,
Yes it’s true,
I may be in love
With the idea of you.
