Tears that slide down your face
Look like crystals,
Frozen onto your pale skin.
They capture the moment,
Show your agony,
Your grief.
Your insanity is consuming you,
Like a lion tearing up its prey.
The wrinkles in your forehead are defined,
Your lips dry,
Because they are lacking love.
They are saturated with words of hate,
Of mourning,
Of complete terror.
You have that pit in your stomach,
Each day waiting for that one call.
And when it comes,
The sound of the ringing telephone
Will disturb the silence in which you have been living in.
