I Miss You
I miss you
I miss us
Whats the rush
To move on
Our love is gone
This is just so wrong
What ever happened to those long
Romantic conversations
All through the night
They have fallen to damnation
This couldn't possibly be right
What is this between us now
A deep ravine formed. How?
Growing wider each day
I should get a say
Am I wrong?
I'm curled up in this little ball
Missing
You, wishing
You would remember
But not it's September
I'm looking back on june
When my clock chimes at noon
I snap out of it
I stop imagining how our fingers fit
So perfectly holding us together
Light as a feather
Is how you made me feel
Now I'm finding it hard to deal
But I guess our fate is sealed
Your hook dislodged, in the line is reeled
What ever happened to good girl
Meets bad boy?
Well, it's a little like riding a tilt-a-whirl
We are from two different worlds
Like Romeo and Juliet?
No not yet
They could never be together
But they found a way to be forever
But this is no tragic play
This is real each day
Sometimes reality is destruction
Of positive human emotion
And sometimes devotion
Gives way to dissatisfaction
In the way things are turning out
But that's what life's all about
And I begin to doubt
If I am even still sane
As I watch the raindrops gather on the window pane
Like my own salty tears
But on go the years
And as for you and me
I guess it wasn't meant to be
I thought it would work, and
Now you're slipping through my fingers like sand
I have one last thing to say
To you today
I admit I still,
And always will
Miss you
