She stared at the mirror on the wall.
Living her life through the reflection
All she could see was herself.
Alone. Detached. Locked away from the rest of the world.
She was running from true love.
The bloody, violent, fierce fight between life and death…,
Is the same as a fight between love and hate.
He had held her through her thrashing and attacking,
Through the screeching, screaming and kicking,
And yet she couldn’t learn to fight her fear. She couldn’t learn to love.

She stared at the mirror on the wall.
Living her life through the reflection
All she could see was the world.
A vast landscape was snow peaked mountains, and pristine, innocent rivers
Of lighted big cities and of quiet little towns.
Exploring the dangers and experiencing the adventures
But still running away from love.
And losing the most important thing.
Herself.

She stared at the mirror on the wall
Living her life through the reflection
And what she saw, was what she had been running away from.
She could see love.
Gently stroking her hair
Affectionately taking her hand
luring her to come over to him

She stared at the mirror on the wall

Then looked over her shoulder

Now she could see the world,
And all its adventures
She could see herself
But not alone
And she could see him
Coming toward her.

“You can’t see the world through a mirror,” he said.
