"Né io pitorre" - Michelangelo

Thick air fills my lungs,
Sun beating my flesh,
The sticky air clinging to my body
and mind.

Clouds pass the rays of fire,
Breeze extinguishes the burn,
Sweat treads the lines of my face.

Brows entwined,
Lashes flicker away the light,
My eyes are pierced with the fire.

Just a small, spur-of-the-moment poem:)

Now THIS is a free verse poem I can appreciate! I love reading things about nature! And don't ever be embaressed about  any 'spur-of-the-moment" poetry you write, often the thing that take me only ten minutes are far better than ones I slave over for a week(just be sure to set them aside and look them over the next day, lol! They arn't always, the genius work of art i think they are. This one is good, though!). Great work.
