"Né io pitorre" - Michelangelo

A sprout breaks the surface of the Earth,
The light shatters dark,
Oceans spill over dry land,
Day turns to night.

Stars decorate the deep sky,
Creatures scatter the Earth,
The Apple falls into the hands,
A serpent slithers away.

Darkness erupts from hell,
The serpent takes control,
Man humiliates mankind,
Sin is created.

The great basin overflows,
Earth cradles the flood,
An ark bounds the sea,
A rainbow smoothes across the sky.

The gods sit in the clouds,
False worshiper’s faults not known,
They bring their offerings,
But all are destroyed.

A crown of thorns,
The metal pierces flesh,
He pushes upward each breath,
Love pouring from his brow.

A heaving breath,
A call to die,
A pure life taken for me,
Now rests for me.

The sun rises thrice,
The dead now gone,
Nothing but cloth,
He swallowed the grave.

Planes screech over skies,
Bursts of flames,
Bullets that pierce mankind,
Attacking our world.

Smoke fills our air,
Nature poisoned by carelessness,
Masterpieces destroyed,
The unwanted thrown away.

The Earth trembles and quakes,
Twirling winds ravage across,
Storms of strong winds oppress,
Land falling apart at the seams.

Flames erupt over the city,
The rebels alive in hate,
Rumors of war,
The backyard of America.

Stars fall from the sky,
The sun turns away,
Our moon, splattered in blood,
He is coming.

Wow, this one is deep. I know someone who would be interested in this poem, my brother. We kinda had an (unofficial) apocolypses poetry writing contest between the two of us, so this makes me think of him. It actually sounds alot like something he'd write, but I seriously doubt that he would choose a girls username. In addition, the poem itself is good, not at all like the terrible workmanship he displayed!

Listen to me, comparing you to a guy you never met! I'll translate this for you: Great job, I like this! I liked the last stanza especially, it's my favorite.
