Alone
You are not alone, people stand all around you.
They cheer and laugh, make friendly conversation,
They talk and live.
You can’t help but feel alone.
Your different, even you know that,
You can’t fool yourself forever.
But why does it have to be so painful?
The tears in your eyes, the chocked up throat,
Your puffy red eyes.
It’s ugly, this feeling, even if it only shows on the inside.
You wish with all your heart, on the very last star,
You wish you weren’t so alone.
Yet with all this suffering, the yearning heart does not receive its wish.
All alone in a crowded place,
Only you would feel this way.
