My Soundtrack
Something so intoxicating.
When the music is so loud,
Can’t even hear my own thoughts,
Lose it all, wipe it clean.
Bass so strong.
Feel it in my veins,
Voices so sweet,
Sing me to sleep.
It’s freedom.
To drown myself in notes,
Bars, lines,
Endless ecstasy.
Only thing that makes a bad day okay.
Listening to the song that’s like a theme of my life,
Somehow they know,
Just what it’s like.
Find the part of me I’d lost.
In the treble,
In the melody,
In the chorus.
Something I couldn’t live without.
Defines me,
Sustains me,
My soundtrack.
