Darkness surrounds
My feet pound the empty pavement
Fear of the unknown
Breathing down my neck
Clawing at my back
Caught, dragged down
I only catch a glimpse
Of this evil
Searing pain
Tears my apart
Blind, deaf, paralyzed
Screaming, crying, fighting
Now awake, unharmed
Caught up in my blankets
Unnerved by dark thoughts
