Reality; what a buzz kill
I open my eyes and see a different life.
Different than what I planned.
So much I'm begging to change, but it wont budge.
I'm stuck.
Sinking in a hole.
Not a single place to go,
but down. So far down.
I'm searching for the light,
but its blacked out.
Smudged out, like a candle in the wind.
The world around me begins to collapse.
I feel the walls rushing in, suffocating me.
I scrape away at the reality.
Praying my dreams will seep through.
Could these worlds collide?
Merge and become one?
In our dreams everything is possible.
Life magically falls into place.
A fairytale complete with the happy ending.
Sadly life is the buzz kill that terrorizes our dreams.
Life doesn't bend and sway at our command like leaves
in the wind.
It stands against us
firm, strong, and unmoving.
