Two Sides
The moment she told me,
I remembered the feeling
That took over my body.
I shook with anger,
And whimpered with pain.
I didn’t want to believe it.
I felt the crunch
As I connected with his face.
I broke his nose.
He looked up at me,
Bleeding and hurt,
And shook his head, asking why.
I told him what she told me,
And he sadly got up.
When he looked at me, I knew I was wrong.
He shook his head,
And all he said was
There are two sides to every story.
