My Own World
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Wait a minute I thought to myself….
Thirteen is not on the clock, tick tock.
But in my own world anything can happen.
A scorpion can fly over the sea, or time could stop completely.
Imagine everything that could happen with a pow of action.
The world unfolding beneath your very feet,
because time is like a grumpy bear.
If you anger it, it might bite back.
It is known for quite atrocious table manners.
But it has a kind and gentle heart that shines brightly no matter what.
A heart so bright, like a lantern at night…
I fall asleep perfectly alright.
