Surrounded by light
I'm living a lie
Darkness is safer
I'll never say goodbye
My home is a hole
You've heard of it,
It's black.
Come to the darkness
You'll never go back.
My safety, My haven
I'll never leave.
I'm scared of the light,
Cuz you'll see my heart
On my sleeve.

thank you, yes I've had the same concern. i thought that if were to say cause, the reader would read it as "cause and effect" not "because"

I like how in the end you explain why you're afraid, and I like how you described it too. I suggest that instead of "Cuz" you use the word "'Cause" or even "because" (though "because" wouldn't really fit), only for the sake of proper grammar.
