After newest spring
Do flames erupt
Slowly eating
And through their careful work
A forest of tinted jade
Like the the phoenix
Becomes a raging flood
Of red
With jealous orange
Licking at its heals
The fire billows
Flares and snaps
Egged on by the
Crisp autumn wind

This is great! I really got the feeling of struggling for a new life or era. How everything can get better but we have to work to get there. Your describing words really pulled me in. Could you check out my stuff?

Thank you! I'm glad you got that feeling from it, but it's also a poem inspired by the Libyan rebels. They now have a fresh start, but this is usually when a lot of turbulence occurs. I'd love to check out your work! :)

Love it, but it reminds me of burning down a forest or leaves. Still, beautifully written. Think you could check out my work sometime?
