Like Mushed Bananas
The rocks squished between my toes
Cold like mushed bananas
Like a yellow sky
Folding beneath my feet
It cradled my fiery ankles
With a sober passion
Crescent moons clashed at their tip
Against a dotted white chalkboard
As if a child's eyes
Had been reflected a thousand times
Off a subtle river
As it's cool warmth
Rested my irritated soul
And the still breeze
Ruffled my arm hairs
My ears bled with serenity
At the nurturing sounds
And soaked in unseen life
Noises in the background
Like playing children
Calmed my unsettled mind
As the world around me
Faded into darkness
