Like Books
Our pasts are like books-
written long ago,
yet so far from forgotten.
Threatening to captivate
our every being.
There will always be
someone who's not enlightened.
Don't throw your books away-
let yourself sit back,
reminiscent the day.
Books don't define you,
but change how you feel in a way.
Books are something special
no need to forget what they say.
Old books are odd
in a way of interpretations.
One might understand it all,
the other shocked,
confused and in awe.
Interpretation is key
when the book is a part of me.
Look at my books,
a library it seems.
Do the books define me,
is that what you really see?
Look closer.
Yes, It's me.
